FRANK WILDMAN
17th May 1940 - 14th April 2017

Frank was brought up in a dog-showing family, his parents having shown Smooth and Wirehaired Fox Terriers and various other breeds under the Denman affix from the late 20s. The first dog registered in Frank’s name was a Boxer bitch called Mischa. This was in 1947 when Frank was just seven years old; she was actually the first Boxer in the North of England at that time. Frank purchased his first dog in partnership with his wife Margaret in 1961 just six weeks after their wedding, a Boxer bitch that cost the princely sum of eight guineas.

Frank and Margaret started training their bitch in obedience and progressed later to Working Trials and Tracking. They bred a few litters in the 60s and also a few children. They then progressed to the show ring on the insistence of Frank’s father and started to do quite well winning their first big green card in the late 70s. Later, because of work commitments and the lack of time to do both, they decided to put the working aspect to one side and concentrate on the beauty stakes with some success.

Frank has currently bred Record Holders and Champions in seven breeds plus CC and championship show first prize-winners in a number of other breeds. He has won BOB at Crufts, Top Dog, Top Puppy, Top Breeder, Top Sire, Top Stud, Top Brood, many times over the years. Frank, along with his wife, has exported Wildax stock all over the world and has imported from various countries to improve on what he already has.

Frank has judged in 19 countries including Spain, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Russia and America etc. He award CCs in fourteen breeds including Rottweilers, Doberman’s, Boxers, Mastiff’s, Bullmastiff’s, Siberian Huskies, Great Danes, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Akitas, French Bulldogs, Am Akita, Tibetan Spaniels and many others under FCI rules. Frank also judges Working and Utility Groups at Championship Show level.

Frank is recognised as having an excellent understanding of Kennel Club Rules and regulations and he is interested and heavily involved in the administration side of the dog fancy. He is seen as a first class organiser and Show Manager and justifiably proud to be elected and voted into the following positions;
Chairman & Honorary Life Member of the Merseyside Boxer Club
Chairman and Honorary Life Member of Liverpool Kennel Association
Honorary Life Member of Bootle & Crosby Canine Society
Honorary Life Member of Ashton in Makerfield Canine Society
Chairman of The Northern Boston Terrier Club Of England
